Employment-Based Visa Number Unavailability Through September 30, 2024

As of August 29, 2024, the annual cap for several employment-based visa categories has been reached for the remainder of the fiscal year, which ends on September 30, 2024. The Department of State has confirmed that all visa numbers in the EB-1, EB-3, EW (other workers), EB-4, and EB-5 preference categories have been exhausted. As a result, U.S. Embassies and Consulates are no longer able to issue immigrant visas in these categories for the rest of FY2024.

USCIS will continue to accept adjustment of status applications for the remainder of the month, in accordance with the September 2024 Visa Bulletin and the Adjustment of Status Filing Charts. However, it will not approve any cases until the new fiscal year begins.

A new quota of immigrant visas will be available starting October 1, 2024.

The Law Office of Adrienne J Vaughan will continue to monitor visa number availability. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.
