State Department Greater Scrutiny of Visa Applicants T

The State Department, via US Consulates overseas, is expected to be begin conducting more extensive screening of visa applicants, via directives posted by the Trump Administration.  This will likely result in longer wait times to obtain a visa interview at a US consulate, more extensive interviews during visa appointments, and possibly more administrative processing (delays) post interview.  We advise our clients to be aware of this as they plan their summer travel.
