Online Courses Allowed for International Students

Great news for international students and US Universities: The Department of Homeland Security has agreed to fully rescind the July 6 2020 ICE guidance which would have required international students whose courses move entirely online to depart the country or transfer schools, and reinstates an earlier plan to grant exemptions to student visa holders whose schools make online course accommodations during the pandemic. This came in response to litigation filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts by US Universities including Harvard and MIT challenging the sudden rule change.
