USCIS Announces Updates for Fiscal Year 2025 H-1B Cap Season

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has released important updates for the fiscal year (FY) 2025 H-1B cap season. The final rule introduces beneficiary-centric selection, reducing the potential for system manipulation.  Each individual will only be able to enter the H-1B lottery once, ensuring a fair chance for each beneficiary.

New integrity measures empower USCIS to deny or revoke H-1B petitions if the registration contains false information or if the associated fee is declined or invalid.

The initial registration period will open on March 6, 2024, at noon Eastern and close on March 22, 2024, at noon Eastern. Registrants must have a valid passport.

These updates provide crucial information for employers and beneficiaries navigating the FY 2025 H-1B cap season. Prospective petitioners should be aware of the registration period, new online filing processes, and the beneficiary-centric selection approach introduced by USCIS.
